Innovation is the process of making lives better. Whether it is a small improvement for one person or a breakthrough for society, innovations pushes us to strive for a better future. In order to provide impetus to the economic growth of the country and its development, it is important to promote leading innovations which are cost effective and appropriate for our environment. Therefore, there is a need to encourage innovation amongst the youth to foster a knowledge economy in future. Given this, what is needed in education is not evolution nor reform, but a radical revolution where Innovations go beyond technology.

With an aim to provide an encouraging platform for the students, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Innovation Ecosystem and ICT Academy are conducting Youth innovation Summit on 9th of April 2017 at Leo Muthu Auditorium. The Summit is for youth, centered on innovation and entrepreneurship and will be witnessed by 7000 student participants from various colleges across the nation.

The Youth Innovation Summit will feature inspiring speakers to provide deep understanding of the dynamics of evolving ideas into innovation. This is an opportunity for students to interact with leading and emerging innovators, entrepreneurs, startup community leaders, and other stakeholders. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Innovation Awards will be presented held during the summit and top 100 innovations of the contestants will be showcased.
