ICT Academy Youth Talk is a student contest to encourage the young minds to express their ideas to inspire the youth community through their powerful talk, and to foster leadership qualities among the college students.
Youth talk is an initiative by ICT Academy with the interest of recognizing and motivating the future leaders through their communication and leadership abilities.
ICT Academy Youth Talk contest is for students studying full-time pursuing undergraduate or Master's degree of any discipline, from any recognized institutions across India.
  • The first level of screening -Online (upload a 3-minute video of their talk in YouTube and send us the link.)
  • The contest will be conducted in 5 regions namely, Chennai, Coimbatore,Trichy,Tirunelveli and Salem
  • Top 100 will be shortlisted in each region (through online)
  • Top 10 will be shortlisted in regional pre-finals in each region
  • One Regional Topper in each region will be identified in Regional Finals.
  • Toppers of the all 5 regions will compete in the State Final and the winner will be recognized and awarded the complimentary educational tour to Singapore.

Talk Format

Choose any topic > Talk for 10 minutes > Express your ideas > Elevate to inspire > Be the change
TOPIC

The speaker has to choose a topic, which has a vital message to inspire the youth audience

DURATION

The duration of the talk must be for a maximum of 10 minutes and the speaker has to deliver a power packed talk within the stipulated time

TIME BOUND

It will be strictly time bound and the speaker should abide by the time counter.

EFFECTIVE

The speaker is expected to exhibit passion, energy, attitude, skills and abilities to make the speech very interesting and effective.

Contest Topics

The success of the talk predominantly relies on the quality of the topic chosen. The topic chosen should have the scope to exhibit your public speaking skills and thereby inspire the audience. Though the choice of the talk is not restricted, the topic chosen should be non-political, non-religious;other ambiguous themes that affect any individual, personal and social values should be avoided. Contestants must prepare the talk on their own, which should be strictly free from plagiarism.

If you think you have the ability to change the world with your powerful speech, then apply now!

The students who believe that they are equipped with enough public speaking skills and abilities and who have a passion to inspire the next generation through their effective talk, can apply.

Any student studying full-time Graduation / Post Graduation currently in any recognized college across Tamil Nadu is eligible to participate in the contest.

Initial Screening

Top 100 will be shortlisted through initial screening in each region (based on 3-minute video submitted by contestants through YouTube)

Regional
Pre-Finals

Out of 100, top 10 will be shortlisted in regional pre-finals in each region.

Regional Finals

One Regional Topper in each region will be identified in Regional Finals. In total, 5 toppers will be identified from 5 regions in the state

State Final
